Our range of adjustable overbed and overchair tables provides a practical, versatile surface for eating, reading, working and everyday activities.

Whether you need a table for use over a bed, a standard rehabilitation chair or a larger bariatric recliner, we have four options designed to accommodate different chair widths.

The first three models feature the same generous 96cm × 38cm tilting and height adjustable tabletop, allowing users to adjust the surface to a comfortable position for meals, reading, devices and other activities. The key difference between these models is the width of the frame, allowing them to fit around different sizes of chairs.

Suitable for use in homes, hospitals, aged care facilities and rehabilitation environments.

Option 1 – Standard Overbed & Overchair Table (Tilt)

Our standard tilting overbed table is ideal for use over a bed or with smaller rehabilitation and recliner chairs, including the Small and Medium Repose Multi C-Air.

The practical C-shaped frame allows the table to be positioned close to the user, while the spring-assisted height adjustment makes it easy to raise or lower the tabletop as needed.

Option 2 – Wide Overchair Table (Tilt)

Internal frame width: 88cm

Designed for larger rehabilitation and recliner chairs, this wide overchair table provides additional clearance while retaining the same practical tilting tabletop.

It is particularly suited to the Large Repose Multi C-Air, as well as other compatible rehabilitation chairs with seat widths up to and including 22 inches.

The wider frame enables the table to fit comfortably around larger seating, allowing the tabletop to be positioned in front of the user without the restrictions often encountered with standard overbed tables.

Features include:

• 96cm × 38cm tilting tabletop

• 88cm internal frame width

• Suitable for the Large Multi C-Air

• Designed for compatible chairs up to an internal 22" seat width (the overall width at base just needs to be within 88cm)

• Wider frame for improved clearance around recliner chairs

• Practical surface for meals, activities, reading and devices

Option 3 – Extra Wide / Bariatric Overchair Table (Tilt)

Internal frame width: 104cm

Our extra-wide overchair table is designed for larger rehabilitation, bariatric and specialist seating, where conventional overbed tables are often too narrow.

With a generous 104cm internal frame width, it can accommodate a range of wider chairs, including compatible seating with widths up to 28 inches (internal) and Protac seating.

It offers the same convenient tilting tabletop as our standard models, with a wider frame designed to provide the additional clearance required for larger seating arrangements.

Features include:

• 96cm × 38cm tilting tabletop

• 104cm internal frame width

• Suitable for compatible chairs up to 28" seat width (internal) will fit any chair smaller than 104cm wide.

• Compatible with selected bariatric and Protac seating

• Extra-wide frame to accommodate larger chairs

• Ideal for rehabilitation, aged care and specialist seating environments

Option 4 – Custom-Made Bariatric Overchair Table

For larger seating or more specialised requirements, WS Medical can arrange a custom-made overchair table, manufactured here in New Zealand.

Designed for chairs up to and including 32 inches, these tables can be built with a frame and tabletop tailored to the dimensions and needs of the individual chair and user.

This option is particularly suited to oversized bariatric seating where standard table dimensions are unsuitable.

Not Sure Which Table Will Fit?

Choosing the right table is important, particularly when using larger recliner, rehabilitation or bariatric chairs.

The internal frame width refers to the available space between the table's supporting legs. This is different from the seat width of the chair, so it is important to check the chair's overall dimensions, including the armrests and any other protruding components.
