Applications
The Ball Cushion is used in schools by children who find it difficult to sit still, e. g. due to concentration disorders, balance disorders, or sensitivity disorders. It can also be used at home, when the child eats, or plays at a table. Alternatively, the Ball Cushion can be used under the feet. This will stimulate the child's sensory-system from both body and feet, which will help to improve the child's bodily awareness. In sense-motoric training the Ball Cushion can be used in e. g. the hammock, or in activities with mobility trolley. The Ball Cushion is also used for adults in connection with training of balalnce, sensitivity disorders and concentration disorders.
Important
In order to be effective, the Ball Cushion should be correctly fastened, and the feet should be supported, by the floor, footstool or something else.
Time of Application
For ordinary use the Ball Cushion should be used daily. Since the child will be moving on the cushion constantly, it does not feel hard to sit on the balls.
If the Ball Cushion is used in connection with paralysis and sensitivity disorders, it is recommended not to sit on the cushion for too long, since it will apply too much pressure.
Informative Label
The Ball Cushion is made of polyester/cotton and filled with plastic balls. A non-skid material has been sown on to the back of the cushion to preven the cushion from sliding off the seat.
Furthermore, strings have been sown into the corners of the cushion for attachment to the legs of the chair; the strings of the Tripp Trapp Cushion, however, are tied underneath the seat.
