The Arden comes with unique four motor technology which enables the user to combine
Independent Tilt in Space (TIS) movement with Independent Backrest Recline, Independent
Leg Rest and Rise movements for maximum pressure and posture management options.
This chair:

individual components that can be repaired, replaced or modified to extend the
lifetime of the chair.

selected by clinicians.- Standard fixed options - You can choose from one of our seat cushion options each with different pressure management features. That seat cushion is then combined with the chaise (single seat and leg rest cover) and is supplied as an integrated seating solution which is fixed to the frame and cannot be removed or changed.
- Removable/Interchangeable Options - You can choose from one of our seat cushions each with different pressure management features. The seat cushion is then combined with the chaise (single seat and leg rest cover) and is supplied as an integrated seating solution which can be removed and interchanged with one of the other seat cushion options.
- You can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals
who may use this chair. - The tilt in space function can be controlled independently and combined with slight knee break function and back recline it can facilitate immersion across the full surface area to manage pressure relief. The remote control facilitates ease of making minor position adjustments to relieve pressure as needed.
- The independent motors for leg support rise and rest enables users to find the most
comfortable position and assists with managing fluid accumulation. - Inbuilt memory foam chaise combined with 4-way stretch material cover – provides effective immersion through both the seat and the leg support while also managing the effects of shear during the tilt process.
- The waterfall cushions have sleeves fitted to accommodate foam pads to provide
additional postural support and can be removed to create space for gluteal shelf. - The top and middle waterfall cushions have sleeves fitted to accommodate foam
pads to provide additional postural support and assist to create space for gluteal
shelf. -
Multiple custom fit options available to ensure effective positioning support and
immersion. - The foot support is adjustable, providing additional extension to support the lower
limbs as needed.
Promotes Improved Function
- The seat rise function reduces the effort involved with transfers and promotes safety
and independence, and minimises fall risk during transfers. - Reduces the potential levels of need for caregiver support and reduces the risk of caregiver injury and strain when assisting with moving and handling activities.
- With a seat height starting at 406mm (16") and seat width going up to 34” this chair
meets the needs of most client shapes and sizes. - In the down position the leg support is angled behind the front of the seat to accommodate additional calf mass to maintain 90-degree knee flexion and facilitate a safe, stable standing position.
- Facilitates comfortable, supported seated rest opportunities, as needed, promoting energy conservation and activity engagement.
- A handset loop and deep side pocket come as standard on the RHS arm. As an optional extra you can choose to have these positioned differently.

- Individual components of the chair can be repaired, modified, or replaced. Purchase replacement or new support cushions as you need them to extend the use of your Multi-Bari Armchair.
- High-quality medical grade fabrics are used to ensure the highest hygiene and
infection control standards are maintained. Flame retardant, scratch-resistant,
waterproof, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, phthalate-free.- The Valencia outer material is hospital grade, tested to 300,000 rubs on the Martindale test and can be cleaned with ease.
- Vapour Permeable Dartex® fabric is used for the seat and back cushion covers. This fabric provides 4-way stretch (with no delamination) to promote immersion and prevent hammocking. The fabric has an optimal barrier against fluid ingress, allowing vapor release to maintain a healthy microclimate.

The fabric is designed to kill bacteria on contact and water is all that is needed.

Warranty
WS Medical Seating Warranty Information
WS Medical provides the following warranties, compliant with the New Zealand Consumer
Guarantees Act 1993:
- Mechanisms and Frame: 2-year warranty
- Upholstery: 2-year warranty
- Pressure Care Seat Cushions: 1-year warranty
We will repair or replace, at our discretion and at no cost to the original purchaser, any parts
covered by this warranty that are found to be defective due to faulty materials or
workmanship. This warranty covers parts and labour only, provided the claim is made under
the terms of this warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Damage to fabric caused by misuse, negligence, abuse, accidents, or improper
cleaning. - Unauthorised or incorrect repairs, alterations, or modifications.
- Damage to the chair resulting from misuse, negligence, abuse, accidents, or normal
wear and tear.
- Damage caused by mishandling or abuse by third-party carriers.
- Any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Battery replacement due to complete discharge from improper use or lack of
maintenance.
Statutory Rights
This warranty does not limit or exclude your rights under the New Zealand Consumer
Guarantees Act 1993.
Return to Base Warranty
This warranty is a return-to-base warranty. The product must be returned to WS Medical’s
designated service location at Hillside Road, Auckland, for any repair or replacement claims.
