Tilt in Space Dual Motor Chair

"This chair is modular, allowing for easy replacement and repair of individual parts, which ensures exceptional total cost of ownership and long-lasting durability."

C-Air 222kg SWL features:

Key Features to meet client needs

Aids independent transfers with electric rise and recline, and variable angle lift technology

  • Allows clients to transfer in and out of the chair independently, but also performs well with hoist transfer - allowing clients to remain in their home, and reducing the support needed from Family or NASC
  • Perfect for clients who have history of falls, or who have experienced significant change in their disability status. VAL or Variable Angle Lift Technology gives you even more flexibility and makes sure our chairs support you with changing independent living needs.
  • Utilise the three different lift angles 30, 20 and 10 degrees (except small, see photos)
    • If selected it can have almost no tilt angle on lift for wheelchair transfer, or if the client at rise is at risk of sliding forward on transfer
  • Supports wheelchair transfers (we can add removable or swing away arms)
  • Comfortably enables clients who live alone to undertake the essential activity of sitting and rest, enabling the body to recover from tasks and daily life

Prevent/reduce pressure issues and shear/friction

  • The choice for clients with evidence of existing pressure areas (broken skin, regular input by District Nursing, unable to self-pressure relieve).
  • Inbuilt high-risk pressure care seat cushion and footrest adjustment – in other chairs often you will see cushions placed on top of chair seat which is unstable and the client loses support through armrests.
  • This chair allows for specific pressure care cushions including those that support medium to high pressure care needs. You can also add a Geomatrix or C1 South Cushion as an example to further support pressure needs.
  • The Dartex 4-way stretch material allows immersion, enabling the client the full benefit of the pressure care cushion
  • Prevent issues with skin integrity (shear/friction & pressure) with Tilt in Space functionality
  • Provide optimum postural support meeting current and future needs by modifying filling/cushions eg accommodate kyphotic or increase lateral support as the condition deteriorates.
  •  Prevent/significantly delay admission to residential care
  • Prevent escalation of support

Modular

  • Adaptable to client’s needs with seat depth adjustment, lateral supports, sacral blocks, side wedges. front angle wedges, pommel, neck roll.
  • Built-in leg rest extension
  • Fits client’s size so they sit well. Most chairs are too deep so client slides into posterior tilt.
  • The chair can be modified as the clients condition changes, providing exception total cost of ownership and long-lasting durability
  • The C-Air can be easily adjusted for lose/gain weight or have a large gluteal shelf

 Tilt in Space and

  • The Tilt in Space (TIS) electric mechanism with further back recline allows for a full loading of the body over a large surface area. This reduces the pressure exerted through any one point and provides a comfortable position for those who must sit for long periods of time. The TIS mechanism is ideal for those who need or will benefit from having their legs elevated.

Long lasting, modifiable and durable

  • The Valencia outer material is tested to 300,000 rubs on the Martindale test
  • The Valencia material is also hospital grade, allowing various cleaning solutions
  • The Dartex material (cushion cover, backrest) provides an optimal barrier against fluid ingress, allowing vapor release to maintain healthy microclimate and its 4 way stretch (with no delamination) prevents hammocking through sufficient stretch
  • Individual components of the chair can be repaired, modified or replaced.

Note: We can fit taller castors/wheels to aid mobility and raise the chair height by 50mm (2”). Ideal for moving the chair about the house or ward although not recommended with clients onboard.

Note: We can fit height adjustable feet giving a further 50mm (2”) in height.

These are securely bolted to the frame and ideal for those taller clients and for those who might be using a transfer device which can slide underneath the chair.
