This chair:
- Utilises the patented Airgonomic Seating System – four air cells offer immersion andcushioning to provide the ultimate in pressure care and comfort.
- Offers adjustable tilt-in-space (TIS), back recline and elevating leg support to
promote pressure relief, comfort and support effective positioning throughout the day. - Both armrests and back wings are adjustable to drop away and facilitate ease in lateral and hoist transfers.
- Replaceable parts and upholstery cover for easy cleaning and maintenance.
- Safe working load 180kg as standard with 300kg SWL for the Maxi chair.

- The four air cells coupled with Carrflex extreme multi-stretch material offers consistent immersion and cushioning to provide the ultimate in pressure care and comfort.
- 45-degree tilt-in-space function ensures effective off-loading of pressure with
separate back recline angle to facilitate effective positioning throughout the day. - Independent manual leg support elevation – can be adjusted to desired position.
- Comes with gas struts used to operate separate positioning movements and provides a cushioning effect to absorb sharp movements, or involuntary spasms/rocking.
Design
- Manual control – Positions are adjusted by care givers squeezing and holding the brake handles with separate leg elevate handle on side of the chair. On release of each handle the gas struts will automatically lock into the position achieved.
- Drop down arms and wings – spring loaded pins facilitate drop-down position for
transfers and other specialised client needs. - Each Air Comfort V2 chair is fitted with three 125mm (150mm Maxi) Twin wheel Tente swivel locking castors and one swivel directional locking castor. The directional locking castor can be identified by a green locking pedal – thus creating safe handling and manoeuvrability.
- Four air cells are designed to work together as a unit. Each can be accessed and
removed for inspection and maintenance/replacement.
Optional Extras
- Footrest – can be lengthened to customise to user dimensions and can be flipped up to facilitate ease in transfers.
- Meal/Activity Tray – support rails slide into the ports on the armrests and position is secured by the wing nuts on the external side of each armrest.

The Carrflex Extreme multi-stretch with sanitised treatment and enhanced durability fabric is designed to kill bacteria on contact and water is all that is needed.
If you are in any doubt about cleaning instructions please check with us, we cannot be responsible for any damage caused by cleaning.
Care & Cleaning - CARRFLEX® Upholstery fabrics
The Care and Cleaning of Polyurethane Coated Fabric
Frame: All exposed metal framing should be cleaned regularly, at least every three months, depending on usage. This should be done with a damp cloth before being wiped dry.
Gas Springs: to ensure maximum efficiency and increase the working life of the spring we recommend regular wipe over with a damp cloth, and then wipe them dry. Regular maintenance and oiling of the push rod should be completed by a technician to keep the seal in good condition.
WARRANTY
WS Medical Seating Warranty Information
WS Medical provides the following warranties, compliant with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
- Mechanisms and Frame: 2-year warranty
- Upholstery: 2-year warranty
- Pressure Care Seat Cushions: 1-year warranty
We will repair or replace, at our discretion and at no cost to the original purchaser, any parts covered by this warranty that are found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. This warranty covers parts and labour only, provided the claim is made under the terms of this warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Damage to fabric caused by misuse, negligence, abuse, accidents, or improper
cleaning. - Unauthorised or incorrect repairs, alterations, or modifications.
- Damage to the chair resulting from misuse, negligence, abuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by mishandling or abuse by third-party carriers.
- Any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Battery replacement due to complete discharge from improper use or lack of
maintenance.
Statutory Rights
This warranty does not limit or exclude your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Return to Base Warranty
This warranty is a return-to-base warranty. The product must be returned to WS Medical’s designated service location at Hillside Road, Auckland, for any repair or replacement claims.
