This chair:
- Promotes effective pressure care management and reduces forces of shear and friction as part of a 24-hour postural care programme.
- Manual mechanism operated by support person to tilt the seat.
- The back support is modular with options designed to accommodate user shape and size to ensure trunk stability, postural support and comfort – creating a custom seating solution suitable for those experiencing agitation and/or muscle spasm.
- Separate leg support block - can be easily attached to the chair and on wheels for ease of removal for transfers.
- This is a durable chair with individual components that can be repaired, replaced or modified to extend the lifetime of the chair.

- Comes with Coolform Gel cushion as standard. (Seating depth adjustment, large profile headrest, soft lateral support – WS Medical (2004) Limited) and option of the Profile Coolform Cushion also available with medial thigh guide contouring to assist with thigh alignment.
- The manual tilt in space function on the robust push handle can be controlled independently of the back recline.
- Slide-out foot support to ensure user comfort and safety when the chair is being moved.
- Inbuilt memory foam chaise combined with 4-way stretch material cover – provides effective immersion through both the seat and the leg support while also managing the effects of shear during the tilt process. The contoured back cushions can be adjusted as needed to promote seated stability and trunk support while also providing immersion and pressure care.
- Multiple custom fit options available to ensure effective positioning support and immersion. (Seating depth adjustment, large profile headrest, soft lateral support – WS Medical (2004) Limited).
- The leg support block provides additional support and leg elevation as needed for comfort and oedema management. This is a separate unit designed to be securely clipped into place in front of the chair. The unit is on wheels with brakes on each wheel to facilitate positioning choices where the clips aren’t in use.
- Works well with full hoist transfers. We recommend lowering clients onto the chair in the tilted position to facilitate ease of postural adjustments and comfort when transferring into the chair.
- Four heavy duty lockable casters for ease in portering.

- For ease of cleaning and replacement, all seat and back cushions are removable and have removable cushion covers.
- High-quality medical grade fabrics are Waterproof, Anti-MRSA, Anti-bacterial, Anti-fungal, Crib 5 and bleach cleanable and all cushions and cushion covers are removable for cleaning purposes.
- Large range of health fabrics available:
- Boltaflex Vinyl – various designs and colours
- Valencia Vinyl – various colours
- Panvelle Stretch Plain – various colours
- Panatech Inner – various colours
- VP Inner – Blue, Black, Green, Beige and Red.
- We recommend Vapour Permeable (VP) Dartex® fabric for the seat and back cushion covers. This fabric provides 4-way stretch (with no delamination) to promote immersion and prevent hammocking. The fabric has an optimal barrier against fluid ingress, allowing vapour release to maintain a healthy microclimate.

- Lap Strap and Pad - A lap strap that can be easily shortened or lengthened with a quick release clip can be purchased. This is a lap strap and not a pelvic positioner and should never be used for restraining purposes.

Warranty
WS Medical Seating Warranty Information
WS Medical provides the following warranties, compliant with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
- Mechanisms and Frame: 2-year warranty
- Upholstery: 2-year warranty
- Pressure Care Seat Cushions: 1-year warranty
We will repair or replace, at our discretion and at no cost to the original purchaser, any parts covered by this warranty that are found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. This warranty covers parts and labour only, provided the claim is made under the terms of this warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Damage to fabric caused by misuse, negligence, abuse, accidents, or improper cleaning.
- Unauthorised or incorrect repairs, alterations, or modifications.
- Damage to the chair resulting from misuse, negligence, abuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by mishandling or abuse by third-party carriers.
- Any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Battery replacement due to complete discharge from improper use or lack of
maintenance.
Statutory Rights
This warranty does not limit or exclude your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Return to Base Warranty
This warranty is a return-to-base warranty. The product must be returned to WS Medical’s designated service location at Hillside Road, Auckland, for any repair or replacement claims.
